Xylophone: A member of the
percussion family. It is constructed of tuned wooden blocks
arranged in keyboard style. The player may use two soft mallets for play. The
pitch of each bar is dependent on its length and thickness and may be struck
with sticks of varied hardness.
Xylorimba: An extension of the
Xylophone. Two players can play it simultaneously. Since
it is much larger, it has an extended range.
