We will undertake, at your request, to arrange insurance as detailed below. All quoted prices reflect the additional costs involved in processing these packages.

Postage cost for NON music items either offered through our site or through ebay are detailed in the item description.
Some items we will only send if insured and this will be included in the quoted rate.

  First Class post within the UK

The following countries are included in our definition of the UK for delivery purposes:
Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England, and all BFPO addresses.

Our standard rates for CDs and Tapes DO NOT include insurance or proof of postage. So, if  you would like additional peace of mind that your order will arrive safe and intact we recommend that you request

Recorded Signed For automatically provides a receipt to prove that the item has been posted and requires a signature on arrival. If your order is a gift or being delivered to a different address confirming it's arrival is quick and easy. You can either use the online Track and Trace facility, or call the enquiry line on 0845 9272 100. Calls are charged at local rate.

Recorded items have a distinctive orange ‘Signed for’ label, and the service costs just £1.00 plus our standard postage.

Although delivery times are not guaranteed,  First Class Recorded items are usually delivered the next working day. In the unlikely event of loss or damage, we will, after a reasonable period of time refund* the cost of your order for non delivery up to a maximum of £32.

Please note that Recorded Signed For is not a secure service. To send higher value orders we recommend that you request Royal Mail’s Special Delivery, which has compensation options of up to £2,500. This also provides guaranteed next day delivery.

Guaranteed Saturday Delivery
If your order is to be mailed on a Friday, for an extra charge of just £2.50 per item, we can still guarantee next day delivery, even though it’s a Saturday .

International signed for
International Signed For costs £3.50 per order on top of our normal Airmail postage. This price includes up to £32 compensation payable in the unlikely event that your order is lost or damaged. An extra £2.00 per order buys you extra compensation of up to either £250 or £500, depending on the country

Airsure costs £4.20 per order on top of the our normal Airmail postage. This price includes up to £30 compensation payable in the unlikely event that your item is lost or damaged. An extra £2.00 per order buys you extra compensation of up to either £250 or £500, depending on the country

When to choose extra compensation
In our order or auction email we will offer this as an option. In some cases we will not send certain items without insurance and this will be reflected in the cost. In any case you should certainly think about asking us to arrange compensation if your order is of high value. In fact, whatever valuable item you send you’ll find extra compensation is highly affordable and gives you added peace of mind.

If you need to make a claim.
Despite our efforts, there can sometimes be unforeseen delays in delivery. It may be worthwhile contacting your local post office as it's possible they have already tried to deliver your package, but were unable to. I can't stress strongly enough how rare lost parcels are.

If you believe the delivery is severely overdue, please send us an e-mail quoting the order or auction number. We will get back to you ASAP with suggestions as to how to proceed.
